inspired by the short stories of Ranko Marinković: Hands, Dead Souls (genitive singular),

Your solitary life and The embrace

The dramatic text Hands according to Ranko is based on the novel Hands of Ranko Marinković and motives taken from the novel Dead Souls, Your solitary life and The embrace from the collection Hands, in which in an ironic questioning of reality with the help of personalized human limbs the real world moves toward the world of the grotesque and absurd . In the allegorical expression of the sense in general, we dared to confront Ranko’s torment, to analyze his soul, self-referential problem of artistic creativity and, on the other hand, the reality as seen by Ranko and not as we see it. The reason for doing so is the fact that to our reality is, perhaps more than ever, necessary Ranko’s comment to understand the right path, the humanism that we lack, in order to take more bravely the decision about creating art as our mission and desire, to understand that the Left and Right cannot function without each other.
